Since joining Fairway, Peter has been appointed as an expert providing
advice, support and guidance on projects within the United Kingdom and overseas, as far
afield as Canada, Denmark, Dubai and West Africa. Such disputes include assisting a
contractor preparing substantial claims on the Prince Edward Island Bridge in Canada,
working on the sub-structure, approach bridge spans and suspension bridge spans of the
Storebælt East Bridge in Denmark and more recently an involvement in the Hung Hom
flyover in Hong Kong. In addition to his experience as a construction professional, Peter
also has experience in a wide range of dispute matters sitting as Arbitrator, providing
expert evidence and providing evidence as witness of fact. He has assisted clients with
litigious matters in the formulation of strategy, preparation of documents and case
presentation to other consultants. He has liaised directly with counsel and instructing
solicitors submitting quantum reports in disputed matters involving multi-million pound
international projects.
Prior to joining Fairway, Peter established a Hong Kong office for the provision of
commercial management, quantity surveying and contract/legal support services, where he
worked for a variety of clients including the Provisional Airport Authority and the
Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation. He gave quantum advice to clients on projects such as
the fitting out of the Royal Garden Hotel, Tsimshatsui, the Cathay Pacific and Haeco
buildings at Kai Tak airport and a major office development for the Hong Kong and Shanghai
Banking Corporation.
Before taking up his assignment in Hong Kong, Peter worked in London for a firm of
Quantity Surveyors concentrating on developing value management and value engineering
services and expert witness work for contractors and developers. Amongst others, Peter
was involved in projects such as a residential/leisure complex in London's Docklands, a
shopping centre in Northern Ireland and a container terminal in Kent. Further afield he
was involved in the 'Ecodome project' in Budapest, Hungary, and a multi-million dollar Long
Term Care Facility at the Kings County Hospital Centre in New York, USA.
